Where the Wild Things Are – Maurice Sendak – Sold for $25000

Abe Books reports that a top rare book sold in May 2012 is Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. The book sold for $25000. There are several copies of the book still available for sale at the same website.

Published in 1963, this first edition came with its first state dust jacket in fine condition. Sendak had signed the title page under his printed name.
